About the Author
The author is an ex midwife and health visitor. She lives in Cheshire where she has her own private practice The Cheshire Baby WhispererTM. Evelyn has two grown up daughters. Her experience of baby sleep problems began in the late 70's and early 80's when she trained as a midwife and health visitor. For 30 years mums came into her baby clinic asking the same question, " How can I get my baby to sleep?". Using her expertise in child development and the behavioural problems associated with sleep she has devised sleep routines and sleep techniques that are baby-led and parent empowering. Her unique techniques teaches babies/toddlers how to self settle at bedtime and re-settle if they wake during the night. The book was devised from hundreds of emails sent to her from sleep deprived parents seeking help with their baby/toddler. There is a chapter for every age of baby and stage of development from breastfeeding to weaning, from newborns to when to have another baby and what it is like to have twins.
